Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team and support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role focuses on assessing student needs, developing individualized intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
The ideal candidate will have strong assessment skills, experience working with diverse student populations, and a passion for creating a supportive learning environment where students can achieve their full potential. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through comprehensive psychological services, counseling, and evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, behavioral assessments, and social-emotional evaluations to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans, including Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), Safety Plans, and other student-centered interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, counselors, and specialists to develop, review, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide individual and group counseling services focused on social-emotional development, mental health support, and crisis intervention.
- Apply evidence-based strategies, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, to support students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
- Provide behavioral consultation and recommendations to support positive student outcomes.
- Manage casework, including student intake, early intervention support, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, psychological reports, and educational records while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements and special education regulations.
- Support a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school-based settings preferred.
- Knowledge of psychological assessments, behavioral evaluations, special education procedures, and IEP requirements.
- Experience supporting students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental delays.
- Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies, crisis management, and social-emotional support practices.
- Ability to conduct, interpret, and communicate psychological assessment results effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, educators, and community professionals.
- Experience with diverse student populations and familiarity with ABA strategies is preferred.
