Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Detailer with proven experience to join our automotive service team. This role involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness, performing detailed exterior and interior work, and ensuring all vehicles meet high standards of presentation and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto detailing, vehicle maintenance, and safe work practices. Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle exterior washing, including hand washing and use of cleaning equipment to achieve a spotless finish
- Conduct vehicle paint correction and buffing using automotive buffers to restore paint clarity and shine
- Execute interior detailing tasks such as vacuuming, upholstery cleaning, and dashboard polishing to maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Apply window tinting techniques with precision while adhering to safety standards
- Operate manual transmission vehicles safely for test drives or movement within the facility
- Use appropriate tools and equipment for auto detailing, including buffers, cleaning agents, and janitorial supplies
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle maintenance or facility upkeep
- Maintain a clean and organized auto detailing facility, following safe work practices at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing client questions professionally
- Support custodial duties such as general cleaning and upkeep of the work environment
Skills
- Experience operating standard passenger cars confidently and safely
- Knowledge of vehicle paint correction, buffing, and automotive detailing techniques
- Familiarity with vehicle exterior washing procedures and cleaning equipment
- Strong understanding of safe work practices in an auto detailing or janitorial environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with auto detailing facility operations or car wash environments preferred
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles for operational needs
- Skilled in vehicle interior detailing, including upholstery cleaning and window tinting
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness
