Summary: Manages security programs concerned with protecting the organization's employees, property, facilities, or physical assets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the site focal point for security programs, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and site-specific security expectations.

Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security management systems (Genetec), policies, procedures, standards, and supporting documentation to strengthen risk management, and operational effectiveness.

Conduct security risk assessments, threat evaluations, vulnerability reviews, audits, and assurance activities to identify risks, evaluate control effectiveness, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor, assess, and communicate threat intelligence, security trends, and emerging risks to support informed decision-making and proactive risk mitigation.

Manage site access control, identification badge programs, visitor management processes, and physical security systems, including CCTV, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, and related technologies.

Oversee security technology lifecycle management, including preventive maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, and system performance to ensure operational reliability and readiness.

Manage contract security services, including guard force operations, contractor compliance, post orders, performance evaluations, and service delivery expectations.

Maintain effective partnerships with law enforcement, emergency responders, government agencies, and security service providers to enhance security preparedness, response capabilities, and information sharing.

Lead security incident reporting, investigations, trend analysis, corrective action management, and lessons learned processes to strengthen organizational resilience and program effectiveness.

Develop, maintain, and exercise security emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity plans for workplace violence, active assailants, bomb threats, drone intrusions, trespassers, civil unrest, and other security-related incidents.

Implement and steward the Site Security Activity Plan, including inspections, drills, exercises, training, assessments, and annual Security Performance Reviews.

Deliver security awareness training, communications, and technical guidance to employees, contractors, supervisors, and leadership to strengthen security culture, threat recognition, and reporting.

Monitor compliance with security countermeasures, background screening requirements, key control programs, contraband prevention measures, and other security risk mitigation controls.

Analyze security incidents, threat reports, vulnerabilities, and performance metrics to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide security oversight and consultation for capital projects, turnarounds, facility modifications, and operational changes to ensure security requirements are integrated into planning, design, and execution activities.

Coordinate security responses to regulatory inspections, audits, and corporate reviews (OIMS), ensure timely resolution of findings and sustained compliance with security requirements.

Develop and manage security budgets, contracts, and resource plans, as applicable, to support the effective delivery of site security objectives.

Education/Experience- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management or related field preferred or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Must have experience and familiarity with facility security best practices.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and leading teams of employees or contractors

Experience working in a high temperature environment.

Ability to oversee and manage multiple complex projects.

Ability to analyze complex data and formulate long term plans.

Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.

Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Office Suite, software collaboration tools, database management, and experience using a modern ERP system (i.e., Oracle, SAP, IFS, etc.), and security monitoring software.

Work Environment:
This individual works in a multi-level industrial environment requiring work in high precarious places via ladders and steps inside and outside the plant in all types of weather conditions. This individual is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and some hazardous chemicals. The plant utilizes high levels of electricity and individuals must be safety minded in all activities. The work environment is dusty.
Noise:
Moderate - Industrial noise levels characteristic of moving mechanical equipment.
Travel Requirements:
Negligible travel less than 10%
