Duties
- Utilize order picker equipment, barcode scanners, RF scanners, and manual handling techniques to accurately select items based on order requirements.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems to track stock levels, update order statuses, and ensure data accuracy.
- Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Pack products securely for shipping, ensuring quality control standards are met and packaging materials are used efficiently.
- Maintain organized storage by stocking shelves properly, replenishing inventory, and managing warehouse distribution tasks.
- Follow safety procedures including PPE use, heavy lifting techniques, and safe operation of all warehouse equipment to prevent accidents.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against documentation and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners confidently and safely.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items regularly while following safety guidelines.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, order calculations, and barcode scanning accuracy.
- Experience in order picking & packing, quality control procedures, and inventory management systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and proper handling of materials in a warehouse setting.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus.
