Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Handyman and Maintenance Lawncare professional to keep outdoor spaces safe, functional, and visually appealing. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, landscape upkeep, and groundskeeping duties to ensure properties are well-maintained and inviting. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, outdoor work experience, and a passion for landscaping and grounds maintenance. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of beautiful outdoor environments while utilizing a diverse skill set.
Duties
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on buildings, fixtures, and outdoor structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Set up and store decor for our themed festivals like Halloween and Christmas
- Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and weed control.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and snow plows safely and efficiently.
- Manage irrigation systems including installation, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure proper watering of plants and turf.
- Conduct tree trimming, hardscape repairs (like pathways or retaining walls), and other landscaping enhancements.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping roles with knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to repair work on various groundskeeping equipment and power tools. (Helpful but not required)
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, pesticide management, and irrigation systems .(Helpful but not required)
- Ability to operate lawn care machinery such as mowers, trimmers, and tree care equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols for outdoor work environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform repairs independently or as part of a team.
- Valid outdoor work experience with the physical ability to stand, walk extensively, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
PAY
Due to a huge turn over in people looking for 3 days of work, we start all applicants at $17.00 per hour. You will receive a $1.00 per hour raise every 60 days until you reach $22.00 per hour. You must be drug free and show up to work on time and not drink or do drugs before or during work. Your criminal record must not be violent, sexual, or excessive.
