Maintenance Technician
Hotels:
Holiday Inn Express & Suites - 10804 S 15th Street, Bellevue, NE 68123.
Candlewood Suites Bellevue 10902 S 15th Street Bellevue, NE 68123
Both hotels share a parking lot; your home base would be Holiday Inn Express Bellevue but you would help out next door when needed.
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, grounds, and public spaces. We have a sister hotel next door that we share a parking lot with, and you will also be maintaining it.
Work Performed:
The Maintenance Technician will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
- Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., "room care")
- Complete work orders from guests and hotel associates and record in quore
- Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement;
- Make routine repairs on all hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks;
- Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; the pool must be balanced every 4 hours. If you are not CPO certified, we will get you certified.
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors windows, and counters, including painting and finishing furniture and fixtures if needed;
- Operate power equipment, hand tools, and vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities in all seasons; Landscaping is year-round for both hotels.
- Maintain grounds equipment and tools in proper working order. Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required;
- Remove trash daily from sidewalks, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots;
- Provide friendly, professional, and prompt service for hotel guests and associates.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; and
- All other work is required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of maintenance experience
- Hotel maintenance experience preferred
- A Certified Pool Operator is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HVAC, Electrical and/or Plumbing Certification preferred
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally
- Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs regularly
- Able to bend and squat repeatedly
- Able to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift
- Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
