Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insulation Technician to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Measure and cut insulation materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces on construction sites.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sealing gaps with caulking or foam sealants, and ensuring proper framing before installation.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot installation issues and adapt techniques as needed for different building types.
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of insulation with other construction elements.
- Maintain safety standards by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines during all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or roofing.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and reading detailed blueprints or schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
- Knowledge of various insulation types including fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, mineral wool, and stucco applications.
- Ability to fabricate custom insulation pieces or modify materials based on project needs.
