The Medical Office Receptionist provides frontline administrative support at an MCHC site, ensuring efficient patient check-in and check-out, accurate scheduling, and professional patient communication. As the first point of contact for patients, this role is critical in creating a welcoming, organized, and patient-centered environment.
Patient Check-In & Scheduling

Greet patients upon arrival and perform check-in procedures, including verifying demographics and confirming appointment details

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments via phone, in person, and patient portal

Inform patients about the Sliding Fee Discount Program and refer eligible patients as needed
Administrative Support

Collect, organize, and route patient forms, referrals, and medical records

Maintain a clean and professional front desk environment

Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

Report patient concerns or access issues to leadership

Perform additional duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum one (1) year of receptionist or administrative experience in healthcare or customer service preferred

Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EHR system preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
