Job Summary
This is a 40 hour, 5 day per week job. We are seeking a passionate potential Baker to join our culinary team, overnight 10pm - 6 am shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality donuts and desserts, cutting and frying donuts, while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. We are also willing to teach a candidate that can follow direction and has some experience in a kitchen or bakery. Pay will reflect experience. We are looking for a candidate with impeccable attendance in their history as this is a critical role that needs a worker that is dedicate, takes care of themselves so they can be present for their job.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, fry and cut donuts and other baked goods according to recipes and specifications.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistent quality in all products.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in cooking and baking techniques specific to baking and pastry preparation.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- knowledge of food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Ability to use kitchen tools effectively, including knives and other equipment required for food preparation.
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other bakery staff members.
