Janitor (Part-time, Evening Shift)

Greenland Pro Cleaning LLC seeks a dependable janitor to join our team. If you enjoy working when the world is quieter and take pride in creating clean, healthy, and productive environments, we'd love to hear from you.
This position primarily involves evening cleaning of commercial properties throughout Asheville. Typical shifts take place Monday through Friday between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., with occasional weekend opportunities available. Most shifts range from 3–6 hours in length.
No prior cleaning experience is required. We provide all training, supplies, and equipment needed for success.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, offices, classrooms, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and other high-touch areas
- Maintain carpets and upholstery using appropriate cleaning methods
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify management of inventory needs
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns
- Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and follow cleaning procedures
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance required
- Clean driving record required
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Availability for evening shifts between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach overhead and below shoulder level
- Ability to safely use cleaning tools and equipment throughout the workday
