Automotive Collision Painter (Experienced)

CARSTAR Collision Center is looking for an experienced, quality-driven Automotive Collision Painter to join our growing team. We are seeking a professional who takes pride in producing factory-quality finishes while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform complete automotive refinishing from preparation through final clear coat.
- Sand, feather-edge, mask, prime, seal, and prepare repaired panels for paint.
- Mix and tint paint accurately using computerized color matching systems.
- Apply basecoat, clear coat, and blends that meet or exceed OEM standards.
- Perform color matching and panel blending for seamless repairs.
- Maintain proper spray booth procedures and curing processes.
- Inspect finished work for quality, texture, gloss, and color accuracy.
- Work closely with estimators, body technicians, and paint preppers to meet production schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all OSHA safety requirements and manufacturer refinishing procedures.
- Help maintain paint inventory and equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of collision center painting experience.
- Strong knowledge of waterborne paint systems and modern refinishing techniques.
- Excellent color matching and blending skills.
- Experience with OEM repair procedures.
- I-CAR or ASE Refinish Certification preferred.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
