1st Choice Companies is looking to hire a Skilled Carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques. skilled in trim installation, cabinetry, detailed finish work, custom millwork, doors, and high-end residential finishing. Other duties will include collaborating with our team to assist with designing and planning various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform framing, finish carpentry, trim work, decking, siding, and general carpentry tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, and various fixtures
- Repair and maintain existing structures
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations
Ideal candidate:
- Has a minimum of significant training and experience in carpentry.
- Is positive, loyal, professional, accountable, has a willingness to grow.
- Works well with clients and maintains a team environment around coworkers.
- Is reliable, organized, on time, and proactive.
- Has experience with large tools and equipment.
Must Be Willing To:
- Follow directions and navigate to job sites.
- Drive a pickup truck with a trailer attached.
- Adhere to safety protocols and using PPE.
- Operate boats.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Complete tasks that require heavy labor.
- Work outside in variable weather conditions.
- Work in a variety of environments e.g. attics, basements, indoor/ outdoor.
- Adapt to changing conditions and problem solve on the job.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be willing to go through a background check.
- Must be 18 or older
