Duties
- Implement individualized care plans designed by licensed occupational therapists, ensuring treatment goals are met effectively.
- Support patients across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits.
- Apply your knowledge of physiology and anatomy to help evaluate patient progress and modify interventions accordingly.
- Use your understanding of medical terminology and medical imaging insights to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to maintain progress outside of sessions.
- Document patient responses, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient hospital units, outpatient clinics, or home health is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health principles.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to therapy delivery.
- Ability to work independently on a PRN basis while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
