About the Role
Meadow AI is seeking a motivated, hands-on Junior Low Voltage Technician to join our growing field operations team. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to launch a career in networking and smart infrastructure.
This is a labor-intensive, overnight role that requires physical stamina and a proactive "hands-on" approach. You will work directly under the guidance of a Lead Technician, gaining the skills necessary to master network physical layers and hardware integration. This is a "road warrior" position, ideal for those who enjoy traveling and working in dynamic, demanding environments during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Cat 6 Infrastructure: Pull and route Cat 6 cables per project site according to TIA/EIA standards. This involves heavy manual labor, including pulling wire through conduits and across long distances.
- RJ45 Termination: Expertly terminate Cat 6 cables using RJ45 connectors.
- Equipment Installation: Perform the mounting and setup of various network hardware and devices, including:
- Cameras and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
- Network racks and patch panels.
- Networking devices such as switches, gateways, and modems.
- Custom hardware and specialized networking equipment.
- Accurate labeling of all wires and components.
- Field Support: Work closely with a Lead Technician to troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure all installations meet Meadow AI’s quality benchmarks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all tools and materials are accounted for.
Travel & Logistics
- Overnight and Weekend Shifts: Work is primarily performed during overnight hours to accommodate client site requirements. Some weekend work may be required.
- Travel Requirement: Up to 75% travel is required. You must be prepared to be on the road frequently visiting various client sites.
- Per Diem: We provide a daily per diem to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling for work.
- Schedule: Project timelines vary based on site location and complexity; flexibility for night-shift and weekend work is essential.
Qualifications
- Entry-Level Networking: No prior professional experience required. We are looking for candidates eager to break into the networking and IT space.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with basic hand tools and a strong willingness to learn technical skills on the job.
- Physical Requirements & Labor Intensity: This role requires significant physical activity, including:
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces (such as drop ceilings).
- Aerial Work: Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 30 feet.
- Manual Labor: Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Equipment Operation: We will provide certification for scissor lift operations.
- Reliability: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Growth Mindset: A strong desire to learn the trade and advance into a Lead Technician role.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
