Kiddie Korner Bilingual Center (KKBC) is a brand-new licensed early childhood center opening in Arlington Heights, serving infants through preschoolers (6 weeks–5 years). This is a ground-floor opportunity to help launch a center from the beginning and shape its culture, classrooms, and team from day one.
About the Role
This role combines classroom teaching with assistant director responsibilities. As one of our founding team members, you'll help set up classrooms and routines, then split your time between leading a classroom and supporting the Center Director with day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and licensing compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Help set up and launch classrooms as part of the center's opening team
- Plan and lead age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities in an assigned classroom
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and compliant classroom environment per IDEC licensing standards
- Support the Center Director with staff scheduling, coaching, and onboarding
- Assist with parent communication, tours, and enrollment
- Help ensure ongoing compliance with IDEC licensing requirements
- Step in as acting director in the Center Director's absence
- Support emergency preparedness and health/safety procedures
Job Summary
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
