ROOFING FOREMAN — $24–$31/HR
Rob’s General Contracting | Full-Time | Year-Round Work
If you’re the guy everyone on the crew looks to when something needs figured out, we want to talk to you.
Rob’s General Contracting is looking for an experienced roofer ready to take the lead as a Roofing Foreman.
We’re a second-generation, family-operated roofing company that has been serving Central Pennsylvania since 1992. We’re looking for someone who knows the roofing trade, takes pride in doing things correctly, and can lead a small residential crew without needing someone looking over their shoulder all day.
Already working for another roofing company? That’s okay. Good roofers usually are.
If you’re curious whether there’s a better opportunity out there, we’d still like to talk.
PAY: $24–$31/HOUR
Where you fall within that range depends on what you can actually do, not simply how many years you’ve been roofing.
An experienced roofer who’s ready to grow into leadership may start toward the lower end of the range.
A proven foreman who can independently run a crew, troubleshoot roofing problems, maintain quality, train less-experienced roofers and keep jobs moving will qualify toward the higher end.
Bring more to the table, earn more.
There is also opportunity for additional production/performance bonuses based on quality, productivity and successful job completion.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $24–$31/hour starting pay
- Full-time employment
- Weekly pay
- Year-round work

- Production/performance bonus opportunities
- Established local company — in business since 1992

- Clear opportunity to increase your earnings as you demonstrate your value
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is a working foreman position. We’re looking for someone who will work alongside the crew while taking responsibility for the job.
You’ll:
- Lead and work alongside a small roofing crew
- Organize the crew and keep production moving
- Install asphalt shingle roofing systems
- Properly handle valleys, walls, chimneys, penetrations and flashing details
- Identify decking and other underlying problems
- Understand underlayment, ice barrier, ventilation and complete roofing-system installation
- Troubleshoot unusual roofing conditions
- Train and develop less-experienced roofers
- Communicate unforeseen conditions and material needs
- Maintain workmanship and productivity standards
- Perform final quality checks
- Make sure the property is properly cleaned before leaving
Experience with metal roofing, EPDM/rubber roofing, siding, gutters and roof repairs is a major plus.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re more interested in what you can actually do on a roof than how impressive your résumé looks.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has significant hands-on roofing experience
- Can work independently
- Understands proper roofing installation—not just how to install shingles quickly
- Can diagnose and solve problems
- Takes pride in workmanship
- Shows up reliably
- Can communicate with and lead other employees
- Is willing to teach less-experienced roofers
- Takes responsibility for the quality of the finished job
Previous foreman experience is preferred, but an exceptional experienced roofer who’s ready to step into a leadership role is encouraged to apply.
YOU DON’T NEED A PERFECT RÉSUMÉ. YOU NEED TO KNOW ROOFING.
If you’re an experienced roofer who thinks you’re capable of more than your current position gives you credit for, we want to hear from you.
Apply with your name, phone number, years of roofing experience and the roofing systems you’re experienced installing.
