PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work in the interesting and complex world of corporate restructuring and learn from one of the top administrative-support providers in the country. We are seeking a Billing Specialist who is responsible for multiple components of the billing process, performing oversight tasks and supporting the Billing Team Leader with analytical and decision-making functions. The person in this role will also participate in business transitions, process improvement initiatives, and train/mentor associates on the overall billing processes.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Complete, accurate and timely Customer and Project setups within NetSuite billing system.
- Analyse files received from vendors, systems, and Client Relationship managers that are prepared then imported into NetSuite ensuring items and volumes are within acceptable tolerance level.
- Participate in various projects and process initiatives.
- Able to interpret and understand complex billing procedures.
- Effectively quality check invoices and files prepared to ensure the timely delivery of all invoices.
- Provides effective and clear communication on billing processes to stakeholders.
- Manage compliance with Verita policies, procedures and processes, including participation in the annual audit.
- Gain cross functional knowledge across Finance and Operations.
- Research and respond to various email request submitted to the group mailbox.
- Be a facilitator for change, including identifying enhancement opportunities and challenging the status quo, to improve the operation of the Billing function.

- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or a related field required.
- 5 years + Billing experience
- Advanced knowledge/skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in all aspects of billing disciplines, including processes, procedures, systems, related theories, and practices.
- Previous work experience with quality assurance, risk management and process improvements.
- Good level of understanding of how the functions of the enterprise work together including GL revenue recognition and accounts receivable
- Experience with reporting and analytics to support decision making
- Demonstrated participation in projects, preferably as a key contributor or subject matter expert.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with senior business stakeholders within a global organization.
- Good level of understanding of the regulatory landscape
- Good level of understanding of SLA and metric reporting
- Previous experience with providing and receiving feedback
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Experience facilitating meetings and documenting and distributing meeting outcomes, action items, and key decisions.
