The receptionist will be responsible for answering calls and emails, directing customers to the right information or contact and answering any questions people have when they contact our business. This essential role will be the first point of contact for our growing company. There will be typing, mailings, filing, and various other office duties. They will also reach out to new and returning customers via phone, email and social media platforms.
Receptionist skills and qualifications:
- Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors, and other employees
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Patience and listening skills to respond appropriately and interact positively with customers
- Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive
- Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
- Time management skills to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks throughout the day
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or TEAMS
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. copiers and printers)
- Professional attitude
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree or GED
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
