This full-time, in-person contract position for a licensed school psychologist offers the opportunity to make a real difference from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Enjoy a dynamic caseload serving multiple schools, providing vital psychological support and partnering with educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in educational psychology required
- Successful completion of at least one year of internship supervised by a credentialed school psychologist
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Knowledge of assessment practices, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments district-wide
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop appropriate interventions and student support plans
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations
- Support multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and crisis intervention strategies
- Counsel students individually or in small groups, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Consult with families and staff to foster student well-being and a positive school climate
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation as required
