Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, loving, and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team at a private school. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and nurturing young children, providing them with a solid foundation for their future education.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum and hands-on activities to promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of pre-K aged children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning.
- Utilize effective positive classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment.
-Update Brightwheel throughout the day with photos, videos, and individual student learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for students.
- Assess student progress through observation, assessment tools, and regular evaluations.
Skills:
- Experience working with pre-K-aged children, providing care and education in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
-Ability to build deep, loving, positive relationships with children.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom materials and resources.
Requirements:
-Minimum requirement of a CDA
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Special Education Experience a plus.
- Relevant certifications or credentials in early childhood education are highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a Lead Teacher with pre-K-aged children is required.
This full-time position will work the 9 AM - 6 PM shift, with a 1 hour lunch break.
