We are seeking an experienced Senior Patternmaker with strong Activewear expertise to join our Product Development team in Los Angeles. This role will lead pattern development for Activewear in close collaboration with Design, Technical Design, and the Sample Room, supporting the product lifecycle from concept through production readiness.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of fit, garment construction, and performance fabrics, along with strong organizational and communication skills.

Develop and maintain the core block library to support product development efficiency

Create and update detailed pattern cards for integration into costing and production tech packs

Facilitate the sample making process (prototype, fit, presentation, etc.) in partnership with the sample room

Prepare productionready patterns and manage sewby sample handoffs to factories

Attend fittings and collaborate with Technical Design to implement pattern updates

Support Technical Design in reviewing, amending, and approving factory patterns and grading

Identify and communicate potential fit and construction issues that may impact production quality

Support the Director of Technical Design with workload planning and workflow coordination for Patternmakers and the Sewing Room

Collaborate crossfunctionally with Product Development, Technical Design, and Production teams

Occasional domestic and international travel may be required

810+ years of experience as a Patternmaker, preferably in Activewear
-
Experience in Activewear and Swimwear product categories required.

Sleep/Loungewear experience a plusStrong experience working with knit and woven fabrics

Strong knowledge and eye for fit, garment construction, finishing, and overall aesthetics

Understanding of grading across multiple product categories and size ranges

Proficiency in Gerber AccuMark, Microsoft Office, and Adobe applications required

Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally

Degree in Fashion Design, Patternmaking, or related field preferred
