JOB OVERVIEW
A Welder at SBI Manufacturing is responsible for performing welding operations on the manufacturing floor. This role focuses on producing high-quality welded components while meeting production schedules, maintaining safety standards, and supporting overall manufacturing goals. The ideal candidate is skilled in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Pulse) and committed to consistent quality and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficient in MIG and/or TIG welding; familiarity with Pulse welding is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.
- Skilled in using welding tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent quality focus.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for extended welding work.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Experience with jigs and fixtures is a plus.
WORKING CONDITONS
- Welders at SBI Manufacturing work in an environment with noise, heat, welding fumes, and gases. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
DUTIES AND TASKS
- Perform welding operations to fabricate and assemble components according to specifications and engineering requirements.
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in clean, organized condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the workplace while promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Support production volume goals by meeting daily/weekly welding targets.
- Assist with training or mentoring new welding team members, as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation for production jobs, including rework, defects, inspections, and any other required records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
