Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Program – Now Accepting Applications
Location: NHC Healthcare, Athens – 1204 Frye St, Athens, TN 37303
Class Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Class Duration: 17 Days
Books & Supplies Deposit: $50 (Refunded when book is returned)

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Certified Nurse Aide through NHC Athens! We are currently accepting applications for our free State of Tennessee Certified Nurse Aide Training Program. This accelerated program prepares you for success in just 17 days.
Program Requirements:
- Full attendance is mandatory — no absences or tardiness permitted
- Must maintain an 85% average or higher throughout the course
- Pass a criminal background check and be clear of the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults
- Individuals with felony convictions, specific misdemeanors, or abuse registry listings cannot be admitted
Class Information:
- Class typically includes 12–14 students
- If accepted, you will be notified by phone or email the week before the class begins
- A $50 deposit for books and supplies is required on the first day and will be refunded once book is returned
Employment Opportunities Post-Graduation:
Graduates of the training program may be considered for employment at NHC Athens based on:
- Facility staffing needs
- Candidate's shift availability
- Entrance exam scores
- Flexibility, attitude, and previous work history
Available shifts include:
- Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Night Shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
