We're looking for experienced Welder/Fabricators who take pride in producing high-quality work. Eligible new hires can earn up to $1,500 in sign-on bonuses:
- $200 after your first week worked
- $300 after 30 working days
- $500 after 90 working days
- $500 after 180 working days
Sign-on bonus is available to eligible new-hire Welder/Fabricator positions and is subject to company policy, continued employment, and program requirements.
Position Summary
As a Welder/Fabricator at Gencor, you will perform a variety of FCAW, GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) welding operations on carbon steel and stainless steel while fabricating complex assemblies, vessels, and structural components to exact specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform FCAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding on carbon and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble structural steel, vessels, and metal components.
- Lay out, position, clamp, tack, and permanently weld assemblies.
- Select appropriate filler materials and welding parameters (amperage, voltage, wire speed, etc.).
- Set up fixtures and prepare materials for welding.
- Perform finish grinding using hand and power tools.
- Use conventional and precision measuring instruments to verify quality.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and strength requirements.
- Move materials and completed assemblies as needed while maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial/manufacturing welding experience required
- Must live within 30 miles of Orlando, FL (No relocation assistance available)
- Strong experience with FCAW, GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) welding
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
- Experience fabricating and fitting structural steel or heavy industrial equipment
- Knowledge of welding procedures, filler metals, and welding machine setup
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Stable employment history with demonstrated job longevity
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
