Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various techniques such as floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore shine and durability.
- Handle cleaning tasks across different surfaces including carpets, tiles, and hard floors with appropriate equipment and chemicals.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, polishers, and carpet extractors efficiently and safely.
- Apply floor care products like floor cleaning chemicals, waxes, and sealants to maintain surface integrity.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or furniture while following safety protocols.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemical agents used during cleaning processes in accordance with environmental safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred; familiarity with environmental services is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Comfortable handling chemical agents used for cleaning and floor maintenance with attention to safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or building occupants when needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
