We are seeking an Automotive Service Advisor in York, PA for a well-established independent repair shop serving a wide variety of makes and models. This position offers $40,000-$80,000 annually, a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, and a customer-first environment focused on trust rather than high-pressure sales. The right candidate will help customers understand their vehicle needs and build practical service plans for immediate and future repairs.
Key Responsibilities

Listen to customer concerns and clearly communicate vehicle service and repair needs.
- Educate customers on recommended repairs and maintenance without using a high-pressure sales approach.
- Help customers prioritize what needs immediate attention, what should be addressed soon, and what can be planned for the future.
- Build long-term service plans that help customers anticipate and budget for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain organized, timely customer communication throughout the repair process.
- Work closely with the technician team to support an efficient service experience.
- Use NAPA TRACS and AutoVitals to support service workflow and customer communication.
- Build lasting customer relationships through honest recommendations and dependable service.
Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience is preferred, but candidates earlier in their automotive careers will also be considered.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain automotive repairs and maintenance clearly.
- Organized and able to manage ongoing customer communication throughout the repair process.
- Able to discuss service recommendations professionally without relying on high-pressure sales tactics.
- Coachable and willing to learn the shop's customer-first service approach.
- Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, honesty, and ethical customer service.
- Interest in continued automotive education and professional development.
Compensation & Benefits

$40,000-$80,000 annually, based on experience.
- Hourly or salary pay structure with no commission.
