Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver snacks and food products along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload product inventory, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when necessary, while maintaining proper handling procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Merchandize products at retail locations by organizing displays, rotating stock, and upselling additional items to boost sales.
- Manage route schedules efficiently by planning optimal delivery sequences and maintaining accurate logs of deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route updates, product needs, or any issues encountered during deliveries.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or route delivery is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple stops efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members confidently.
- Basic math skills for handling pricing adjustments, inventory counts, and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and upselling strategies to enhance product visibility and increase sales.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly as part of loading/unloading activities.
- Military experience involving logistics or driving roles is considered an asset due to discipline and operational expertise.
