Our Manufacturing Facility in Berea is current seeking a 2nd Shift (6pm-6am) Production Supervisor to join our company!
The Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for the management of the productivity and products that are manufactured in the plant on 2nd shift, which enables the company to operate efficiently, resourcefully, and economically.
2nd Shift Production Supervisor - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees all machines, employees, production and quality in respective departments on the 2nd shift
- Manages Employee assignments for all of second shift
- Understands a vast knowledge of machinery including troubleshooting issues with operators
- Runs or helps run equipment when necessary
- Will be helping ensure setups are completed timely
- Reports maintenance issues daily to plant manager
- Moves employees effectively to ensure productivity
- Responsible for enforcing employee handbook
- Responsible for closing the plant and arming the alarm system when needed
- Able to move parts on a tow motor
- All other duties assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 7 year minimum experience in manufacturing
- Able to make good decisions on which materials to use, how to solve the problem and if outside help is needed
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multi-tasks
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.
- Able to communicate effectively to employees
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ experience in light industry or the machine tool industry.
