Duties
- Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, filters, and fans according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Remove grease buildup, debris, and other residues from all components of the ventilation system
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues or areas needing maintenance or repair
- Follow strict safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
- Document completed work, including cleaning logs and inspection reports for compliance purposes
- Use specialized tools and cleaning agents effectively to achieve thorough results
- Coordinate with restaurant staff to schedule cleaning times that minimize disruption to operations
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a strong focus on safety protocols
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and restaurant staff
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to grease removal and ventilation system maintenance is a plus
- Willingness to adhere to all health and safety standards while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
