Position Summary
The Field Service Field Technician serves as the on-site technical representative for 3S Americas, Inc., responsible for the installation, inspection, and commissioning of 3S lift systems within wind turbine towers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, along with the ability to work in physically demanding and remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the on-site technical expert for 3S lift products during installation projects
- Install 3S lift systems in wind turbine towers in accordance with company procedures and work instructions
- Perform quality inspections to ensure installations meet company and customer standards
- Coordinate with site personnel and customers to ensure timely and successful project completion
- Track and report installation progress in alignment with company requirements
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, environmental regulations, and site-specific guidelines
- Select, inspect, and maintain appropriate tools and materials required for field service worK.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Electrical certification or technical training preferred
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer proficiency required
Experience
- 1–3 years of electrical, mechanical, or wind turbine experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Proof of auto liability insurance required
- GWO (Global Wind Organization) Climb Training is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs up to 60–120 meters (200–400 feet)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights exceeding 100 meters and in confined spaces
- Ability to successfully complete all required training, including controlled descent procedures
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company and customer policies
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and varying weather environments
- Capable of working independently and as part of a remote team with minimal supervision
Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- OSHA 10 (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
