Position: Accreditation Support Consultant (ASC)
Reports to: Quality Initiative Program Manager
Status: Non-exempt
Purpose of Position:
The Accreditation Support Consultant (ASC) position delivers high-quality professional development and technical assistance to support programs as they work towards achieving National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) accreditation or National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) accreditation.
Statewide Focus
-
Travel Requirements: Travel for on-site coaching and recruitment events.
-
Regional travel will be based on caseload, up to 40-50%.
-
Occasional overnight stays may be required. Lodging and meals provided.
-
Company vehicle available when applicable; employees using personal vehicles are eligible for mileage reimbursement.

Cohort Meetings: Develop and facilitate cohort meetings that encourages participants to join and participate in peer-to-peer support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Administration:
Provide technical assistance, coaching and facilitate cohort meetings. Technical assistance and group cohort meetings must align with the All in For Kansas Kids strategic plan, including CCDF funded services, to provide a comprehensive accreditation package.
Network & Community Collaboration

Work closely with the CCAKS Network, community partners, state agencies, and Resource & Referral staff.

Participate in partner meetings, advisory groups, and attend professional development events.
Data Accuracy & Reporting

Maintain accurate records in all required databases and submit reports according to the grant/contract reporting requirements.

Report assessment results and feedback loops (surveys/evaluations) to measure the effectiveness of recruitment and training activities.
Education & Experience
-
Minimum Education: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood or a related field.

Experience: Five (5) years’ experience with an associate's degree or two (2) years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year in a child care setting.

Proven experience working with adults/facilitating adult learning.

Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.

Experience with accreditation is preferred.
Participation in Professional Development
-
Complete annual professional development to keep current with best practices and research.

Attend various Child Care Aware of Kansas team meetings.

Maintain certifications as required based on program needs.
Special Knowledge & Skills
-
Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to edit and create professional documents/spreadsheets. Familiarity with Survey Monkey, Zoom and other internet communication technology.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Experience providing and facilitating group meetings and activities.

Language: Bilingual skills preferred.
Availability and Work Hours
Employees are expected to:

Be available and responsive during established core business hours, 8am to 5pm.

Accurately record working time and attendance in accordance with Company policies.
Virtual Communication and Engagement
Employees must actively participate in virtual meetings, trainings, and team collaboration using Company approved communication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Miscellaneous Requirements

Valid Kansas driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overnight travel.

Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
