Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Shop Fabricator-Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute directly to the successful completion of complex mechanical and structural assemblies. Responsibilities
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
- Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding standards.
- Operate fabrication shop equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, pipe threading tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and shop math to measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal parts with precision.
- Conduct rigging, assembly of fabricated components within the shop environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards during all fabrication activities.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for complex projects involving ductwork, piping, or structural steel.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times while operating machinery or working on construction sites or in the shop.
Requirements
- Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques along with specific welding standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with construction site experience including rigging, pipe threading, ductwork installation, and site safety procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measure, plasma cutter, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of shop math principles necessary for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Experience working with ASME codes & standards as well as AWS standards for welding quality assurance.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations
- Valid forklift certification is preferred; ability to operate forklifts safely on-site is a plus.

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
