Responsibilities:
- Creation of standard work, process design, establishing standard times for direct labor, line balancing and operator requirement on the shop floor
- Responsible for setting up time standards in the assembly line workstations based on MOST/MODAPTS/MTM or any similar standards
- Support in setting time standards for indirect labor on the shop floor
- Establish Value Added content and Non-Value Added work content. Ability to work on NVA and reduce NVA and improve process time, improve ergonomics & eliminate waste in the assembly line/ station
- Develop station by station layout and establish part presentation for each operation
- Establish material routing & line side stock presentation
- Logistics layout mapping, parts mapping, route mapping
- Volume Analysis, Part level consumption Analysis, Part Categorization
- Prepare and maintain documents - PFEP database and relevant documentation
- Engagement in Daily Management system
- Collaborate with members of the Customer team to identify gaps to achieve area metrics
- Drive Continuous Improvement activities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, & Productivity
- Engage with safety dept, maintenance, tool room, or external vendors to support improvements
- Follow up on implemented solutions to confirm effectiveness
- Participate in kaizen events related to logistics as identified
- Provide logistics support in various stages of Build along with shop floor co-ordination
- Support Validation of Kitting logic (Time, BOM Consumption, Model Option)
- Support packaging requirements making changes as needed
- Manage kitting system and generate kit sheets
Education Required:
- BS/MS in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
