Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining detailed medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Support patients with medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to medication protocols and safety procedures.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments, including memory care and behavioral health support.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home care environments.
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient service and support.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state or regional licensing requirements.
- Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, Level I & II trauma experience), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics; experience with safe lifting practices is essential.
- Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities tailored to diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Additional experience in specialized areas such as hospice care, pediatric or neonatal care (PICU), emergency medicine, or infectious disease care is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
