Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology. This role involves working with patients to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall physical function. The Physical Therapist will work in both outpatient settings and home community care, focusing on various specialties including orthopedics, geriatrics, and discharge planning.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Implement therapeutic interventions including trigger point therapy and other physical therapy techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care strategies, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy techniques.
- Experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, or outpatient care is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
