**Position Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and driven Shop Mechanic Manager to oversee our dismantling operations. This pivotal role involves managing the vehicle dismantling process from start to finish, ensuring efficiency, safety, and the highest standards of quality are met. The Dismantling Manager will lead a team of dismantlers across our two dismantling shops, equipped with modern facilities designed to streamline operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the dismantling process of vehicles, ensuring parts designated for resale are carefully removed and prepared according to company standards.
- Manage and lead a team of dismantlers, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure productivity and quality targets are met.
- Collaborate with the pricing team to ensure accurate valuation and pricing of parts for resale.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to guarantee the quality and reliability of parts before they are stocked for resale.
- Work closely with the production manager to optimize inventory management and streamline the dismantling process.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and practices within the dismantling shops.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a culture of continuous professional and personal development among team members.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in a managerial role within an auto salvage yard, dismantling facility, or related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle parts, dismantling processes, and quality assessment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets for reporting and tracking purposes.
