We are seeking a licensed Optometrist (OD) to perform VA Disability Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans in Central Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for a structured, low-stress clinical role focused exclusively on objective eye evaluations.
This position is non-treatment based—there is no prescribing, no refractions, and no ongoing patient management. You'll perform comprehensive eye examinations, document objective findings, and complete electronic reports that assist the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in disability benefit determinations.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations for VA Disability Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations.
- Evaluate ocular health and document objective clinical findings.
- Complete electronic medical documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Follow standardized VA examination and reporting guidelines.
- Maintain professional, compassionate communication with Veterans throughout the examination process.
- Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.
- Submit completed examination reports within established timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD)
- Active, unrestricted Georgia Optometrist license
- Ability to perform comprehensive eye evaluations and accurately document objective findings
- Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Must have access to your own clinic or office space in Central Georgia suitable for seeing Veterans
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Previous VA Disability, Compensation & Pension (C&P), Independent Medical Examination (IME), or disability evaluation experience
