Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Guide to inspire and nurture young learners in a lower or upper elementary education environment. As a Montessori Guide, you will cultimate an environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Your role is to implement the Montessori curriculum, foster positive behavior, and support each child's developmental journey through engaging activities and personalized instruction. Duties
- Design and deliver Montessori-based lessons that align with child development principles and curriculum standards
- Observe and assess individual student progress, tailoring activities to meet their unique needs
- Maintain an organized, inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Communicate regularly with parents about student achievements, challenges, and developmental milestones
- Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional growth
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to maintain a secure learning space
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other core areas
- Support children with learning differences by adapting instructional methods accordingly
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and promotes child welfare
Requirements
- Experience working with children preferably within Montessori or similar educational frameworks
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods for young learners
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or special education are highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning in math, literacy, social skills, and physical development
