Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to safety standards
- Process sales transactions accurately and handle cash, credit card payments, and tips with integrity
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting in food handling and preparation when needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, especially in fine dining environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus
