Evergreen Solutions 4U, Inc, a Green Seal, and SWaM Certified Facilities Maintenance Company headquartered in Sterling, VA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Helper for an account located in Culpeper, VA.
This responsible maintenance helper provides on-site maintenance support and repairs of non-critical aspects of the facility buildings and grounds as directed by the account's Chief Engineer.
Our maintenance helper must be attentive, friendly, courteous, and a team player. They should have experience with basic, minor maintenance. This is a great opportunity for those just starting out in the maintenance field. This position DOES NOT hold any certifications such as HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and replacing filters and light bulbs.
- Touch up paint.
- Mounting of signage.
- Dismantling & installation of furniture, shelving, and cabinets.
- Tool inventory.
- Complies with all safety procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
Requirements:
- Ability to write & communicate in English.
- Friendly, detail oriented, and a team player.
- Ability to lift, pull, and/or push and carry up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk for the majority of an 8 hour shift.
- Ability to bend and/or stoop.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be a Permanent Resident or US Citizen and able to pass a background check.
What We Offer:
- Monday through Friday
- $20.00/hr.
- 1 week vacation after 1 year continuous employment.
- 13 paid holidays after 90-day probationary period.
- Eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance after 90-day probationary period.
- Eligible for 401k after 1 year of continuous employment.
- $300.00 Sign on bonus after 90 day probationary period.
- Due to the extensive background check, which could take up to 2 weeks, the chosen candidate will be paid for the wait period while the background check processes. This period begins when the candidate submits the required information.
