Our expert Customer Service department has dedicated full-time in-house staff with extensive expertise in all areas of commissioning, boat repair, maintenance, winterizing, and operations. We hold integrity and craftsmanship in the highest regard to provide our clients with the upper echelon of concierge white clove customer service.
Chesapeake Yacht Center is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for boats and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of marine systems and related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all types of marine systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on boats, including steering, propulsion, and electrical systems.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any additional repairs needed.
- Communicate with boat owners and other team members to ensure that repairs are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- New boat commissioning including hull work, systems work
- Perform spring commissioning and fall decommissioning on power boats ranging from 38 to 70+.
- Self Starting and Motivated.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
