Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Manage inventory control, non-sterile medication compounding, and techniques in compliance with USP 795 and 800 standards.
- Provide comprehensive patient care including medication therapy management, immunizations, and health screenings.
- Lead and develop pharmacy staff, including technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellent patient service.
- Conduct patient assessments, medical management, and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize medication outcomes.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, drug regulation policies, and healthcare compliance standards across all pharmacy activities.
- Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other EMR systems to document patient interactions accurately.
- Educate patients on medication administration, physiology, anatomy, and drug regulation policies to promote safe medication use.
- Maintain pharmaceutical regulatory compliance including USP 795 and 800 guidelines for non-sterile compounding and other relevant policies.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote health awareness and foster trust within the local population.
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with comprehensive knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws.
- Proven experience practicing as a pharmacist in community or LTC (Long-Term Care) settings; hospital or acute care experience is highly valued.
- Critical care experience or background in pain management enhances your ability to handle complex cases effectively.
- Strong skills in managing pharmacy teams, inventory management, and pharmacy operations are essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, medical terminology, and healthcare safety standards such as HIPAA.
- Experience with pharmacy software platforms for efficient workflow management.
- Knowledge of immunizations administration, retails, holistic supplements, hormone replacement therapy, etc.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence and patient-centered care delivery.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred; additional certifications in pediatrics or acute care are advantageous.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
