Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on musical instruments, accessories, and related products.
- Conduct engaging product demos to showcase features and benefits of various instruments and equipment.
- Assist customers with selecting products that meet their needs, upselling when appropriate to enhance their experience.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current inventory.
- Manage stock levels by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and organizing backroom inventory efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions via phone or in person while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Support store operations through cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and ensuring accurate retail math practices.
- Promote store promotions and product demos to increase sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits from satisfied customers.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a grocery store or specialty retail environment such as musical instruments or electronics.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are an advantage for serving diverse customer bases.
- Knowledge of music products or experience conducting product demos will help you excel in this role.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for building positive relationships with shoppers.
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining store displays will support your success in creating an inviting shopping space.
