Job Summary
We are a pallet manufacturing and repair company seeking a Logistics & Yard Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day yard operations, dispatching, and material movement. This is a hands-on role that combines logistics coordination, forklift operation, and yard spotting in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This position is critical to keeping inbound and outbound freight moving efficiently while maintaining safe, organized yard and dock operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound logistics for pallets and raw materials
- Dispatch and communicate with company drivers and outside carriers
- Perform yard spotting: move semi-trailers to and from loading/unloading docks
- Operate forklifts and yard equipment to load, unload, and stage pallets
- Track loads, paperwork, and basic production/logistics data
- Maintain safe, organized yard, dock, and traffic flow
- Communicate with production, management, and drivers to prioritize loads
- Assist with general yard and warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, dispatch, yard operations, warehouse, or transportation
- Forklift experience required (certification a plus; training available)
- Experience spotting trailers or operating yard trucks preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer or tablet skills for tracking loads and schedules
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the day
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Pallet industry, lumber, recycling, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment
- CDL or prior DOT-regulated environment experience
- Experience working with dispatch boards or logistics software

Pay: $21.95 - $30.05 per hour
