Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our production lines running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and maintenance on low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of spare parts.
- Repair and maintain HVAC/R systems, including HVAC units and refrigeration components, ensuring optimal climate control within the facility.
- Operate precision measuring instruments for accurate alignment and calibration of machinery components.
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Use welding skills (including welding) to repair or fabricate parts as needed for machinery or structural components.
- Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), analyze control system failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment for hazards such as high voltage or mechanical risks and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist with technical sales support by providing expert advice on equipment repairs or upgrades when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics.
- Tow truck experience required.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, welding techniques ( welding), electrical blueprint reading, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters accurately.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems at both low and high voltages.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
- Industrial electrician experience is a plus; must be comfortable working with electrical maintenance tasks involving high voltage systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and document work clearly.
- Valid certifications in welding, HVAC/R, or industrial maintenance are preferred but not mandatory; relevant technical training will be considered an asset.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
