Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selections, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find the right products. Experience with POS systems, merchandising, and upselling will be highly valued. Bilingual abilities are a plus for this location.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Restock shelves and manage inventory levels through proper stocking procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly
- Assist in store cleaning, organizing, and general upkeep to create an inviting shopping environment
- Perform retail math calculations for sales, discounts, and inventory management
- Handle phone inquiries professionally following proper phone etiquette
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales environments is preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) is a plus at this location
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are a plus
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and upselling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
