Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Light Commercial and Residential HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and services for commercial properties. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a variety of HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your mechanical expertise and proactive approach will help keep our clients comfortable and their facilities running smoothly. Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and mechanical systems.
- Install new HVAC/R equipment in commercial/residential settings, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to maximize efficiency and lifespan, including filter changes, component replacement, and preventive inspections.
- Troubleshoot electrical connections, piping connections, and control wiring to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Use hand tools and other mechanical repair tools to perform repairs or modifications as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, system diagnostics, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical information clearly and professionally to clients while ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of light commercial and residential HVAC systems.
- Construction experience or property maintenance background is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems (BAS), and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, repair of mechanical components, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, boiler operation, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of refrigerants including EPA certification for handling refrigerants safely.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, welding techniques, electrical testing devices like ohmmeters and field service equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
