American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CVOR position requiring at least 1 year of surgical services experience, with every-other-weekend and call shift obligations.

Hospital-based CVOR unit handling a broad range of surgical specialties including general, OB/GYN, plastic, ENT, ophthalmology, cardiovascular/thoracic, laparoscopic, urology, robotic, orthopedic (including total joints), neuro/spine, and a full range of endoscopic procedures (bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, ERCP, fiber optics, and flex sigmoidoscopes)

Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM

Every-other-weekend requirement

Approximately 10–12 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule

Floating required within scope of practice to other units and to an affiliated hospital campus as needed

10-week assignment

Active GA RN license or compact RN license required

Minimum 1 year of CVOR or surgical services experience required

Copies of all applicable certifications required for consideration

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Local candidates are accepted for this position

RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

No schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift and contract length are firm

Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule

Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
