The Bookstore
Our space features a thoughtfully curated book collection, cozy seating, and a cafe inspired by South Florida culture—serving Cuban coffee, pastries, and international bites. Together, it’s a place where stories are shared—whether on the page or across the table.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re hiring a Bookstore Cafe Supervisor to help build and run the bookstore side of Honey Rock. This role is responsible for leading daily operations whenever the owners are not on site. This position ensures our team provides outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, fully stocked, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily shifts and serve as the primary point of contact for the team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every guest.
- Coach, train, and support baristas and booksellers.
- Ensure the cafe, bookstore, kitchen, and seating areas remain clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures.
- Help maintain inventory and merchandising, including organizing books and displays.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Assist with employee scheduling and daily team communication.
- Ensure recipes, food safety, and company procedures are consistently followed.
- Jump in wherever needed, whether making drinks, preparing food, stocking shelves, or helping customers.

Requirements:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in a cafe, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or bookstore is preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a genuine love for serving people.
- Highly organized with strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Positive attitude and ability to motivate others.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to make sound decisions.
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends (required)
Important Notes:
This position does not include hiring or firing responsibilities. Instead, the Supervisor oversees daily operations, supports the team, assists with scheduling, and serves as the leader on duty whenever the owners are away.
