Responsibilities
- Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining locks, safes, and security hardware across various facilities
- Learn to interpret technical schematics, drawings, and specifications related to lock systems and security devices
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot issues with electronic locking mechanisms and access control systems
- Support heavy equipment mechanics in the maintenance and repair of specialized locksmith tools and machinery
- Use testing instruments such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure system integrity
- Follow safety protocols while working with mechanical components, electrical systems, and heavy equipment
- Document all work performed accurately in maintenance logs and reports for future reference
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an interest in locksmithing or security systems
- Basic understanding of electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams effectively
- Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures within industrial environments
- Technical proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills quickly in a hands-on setting
